Static/Fuzzy screen like an old TV problem
Has anyone found a solution to this yet, I have updated all of my drivers, and my computer is more than capable of running this game.

Throw up a screen shot. Sounds like a weird problem. Are your cables and cards secure in the machine. always check your physical connections first.. sounds stupid but somethimes if you move your PC about alot or play loud music it can cause disruptions. if cards arn't secure in your case they can vibrate out of socket. You could have a lose cable connection or socket..

Is this problem happening in other games or just this program. If your video card is using more power and fans are running on high that cause also cause vibrations.

Screen tear is usually a driver and optimisation issue but static sounds like something is lose. I've never seen static on digital. Totally different signals i thought, Static is usually an analog problem as the signal degrades thats why amplifiers are needed to increase signal strength, Digital doesn't have that problem as repeaters clone the exact same signal and pass it along the wire.

No problems on anything else, its just this game, and its obviously the game as the HUD is just fine and visible, it's like its behind it. But im on a laptop so no loose cables or anything like that, let me get a screenshot.

Game might not be optimised for that video card or cpu. Sometimes you get funny issues pop up with drivers and have to wait for updates. I swear computers have a mind of there own what works on one refuse's to work on something else with near the same equipment.

Not enough standardisation in the industrie, some company releases hardware that no one use's with no software updates, or it conflicts with programs causing dumb arse static problems because its just not supported or known. New hardware is like buying an alpha game, people are still catching up writing new programs for it and ironing out bugs. Direct X ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can cause alot of problems as well along with netframework. Operating systems is another nightmare. Windows ain't user friendly, with each edition they hide controls and add ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, make it look pretty and give you crap reports that don't discribe the problem you have to search for hours on the interwebs to find a solution.

Im rambling now just slap me when i get to this point!

got the same issue. updated drivers and flash players (not the issue i think) still got it. hoping it is just a game bug and devs can fix it.

go to the console......ctrl + ~
and then type exactly like this,

ComboPFX.isEnabled=0;

that will fix the problem

Yes
What can I do about this. I have the same problem with games like Fran Bow and Sam and Max:The Devil's Playbox.

But I have a HP laptop

It's not just this game. I am having same issue with another game and with a search on it, it seems it's posted on at least another game or 2 if not more. It's only with playing game on steam. Makes screen go black and white fuzzy like an old TV that's lost it's antenna connection and you can't get out of it. You have to shut down computer holding power button. I don't know if this and the other games are online games, but the one I have issue on is an online game, and not a purchased game. Was hoping I'd find a way to fix issue, cuz I can't play when it messes my computer up every time I go into it.

This almost sounds like artifacting either from a bad gpu driver installation or a failing video card.

Has there been any other odd behavior in other games besides the 2 mentioned? Also what video card are you using?
