Plus the Steel sickles doubles the speed of a herbalist gathering his herbs... which well pays for itself...
Does the hardened pickaxe do the same for mining and tunneling is the question
Also if inter-herbalist trading is going on, you can net a lot of flux...
You must be a masochist then, because the skull-splittingly inefficient interface for herbalism makes me want to nosedive off my roof. The current design is an artificial time-suck, and it needs to go.
This is deviating from the topic at hand and doesn't really answer the question. There is other threads where you can post your views and opinions on steel though might want to check those out.
No, I made and use a Hardened steel pickaxe, and there is no noticeable difference. a Pickaxe will work just as good.
Terraform LVL?
Terraform multiplier on server?
Did you make sure to turn off GM mode if you used it? (makes everything 1 second)
Did you try mining and tunneling?
Will probably check this out when i get the chance. Cause if your right... thats rather bum-kiss and probably should be adjusted to that of like the sickle...
I am not GM and would not use it. Terraforming lvl is locked on 60.., but this all doesn't matter. Same character, same ore vein. Equip one, and swing away, equip other and swing away. Server settings and char skill is same for both.
So yes, at this stage looks like something that requires tweeking still.
Possible could have a lower durability loss, yes, but then still not worth it. 100ql Iron Pickaxe lasts long enough.
The issue is the speed... if it doesn't increase it... then not really worried about getting it. Even if it were to be better durability than 4 or even 6 pickaxes... still not worth it...
