For a moment I was worried that your starting stats locks you into a certain role.
So in your example you cannot progress to >29.99 skill in smelting until mining is at skill level >60 or tier3.
This is all assuming that you are not skill capped due to sever settings.
the way you describe it is the way i originally read it, as well. maybe its just not "working properly" yet, but, i can get 60 in, say, terraforming, then get 100 in construction materials preperation. in other words, once the pre-req skill reaches 60, you can raise the next skill in that tree all the way to 100. so, you dont need to raise prospecting, for example, to 90 to get mining to 60. get a skill to 60, and you can max the next skill. again, dunno if this is intentional or not, but thats the mechanics we have atm
"cannot raise skill level..Requires mining 62" or something like that.
