battlefield 3 is approaching 5 years old and can run on half those specs... stop saying your computer is so wonderful game needs optimization and give some useful feedback to the developers you selfish ♥♥♥♥, thank you... keep up the good work guys game runs fine once you tweak your settings a bit, theres more important things to patch at the moment like the mutex errors and other random crashes
"modding support" could have a consequences such as exploiting. but we are not against all modding, make a proposal and send it to Bobik. i'm sure, that he will carefully treat with care.
game runs liek rubbish
needs optimization
bye
Runs fine when no buildings in sight, borderline low fps with small village in sight.
Too much for that rig? What are the sliders for then, anyway?
I have to admit that Torque is not the best engine. There are definetly better options, even if this one is customazible. I prefer the CryEngine or something similar, but the license is kinda expensive. I am sure they are by now able to afford something better.
Look for instance at Kingdom Come. It is using the CryEngine and you do get lots of support from the devs. I am sure it isn't the best option for this game, because the LiF devs are trying to make something great that needs lots of coding, but the CryEngine gives you more possibilities.
I would prefer even a complete new Engine because I am kinda dissapointed with the terrain modification, for instance look at Minecraft or 7 Days to Die.
When you say enable, do you mean the checkbox is checked or are you actually looking at the world and seeing the shadows present? Checkboxes inverting their meaning is a known issue.
Well ♥♥♥♥, now I have to relearn my Cyrillic. :p
But seriously, modding is more or less inevitable with how exposed the inner workings of the game are. I'm just concerned that if Bitbox doesn't publish something, an amateur like me will get started on the modding infrastructure instead and Mistakes Will Be Made.
Minecraft has, and always had, a far more primitive terrain engine than pretty much anything else on the market. 7dtd *terrain* can't do anything LiF terrain can't. Don't confuse engine functionality with what's avaliable to players in an early alpha release.
If LiF uses voxels, they are the strangest implementation of voxels I've ever seen. Tunnels though, yes, those are voxels.
e: voxels do not have shape, 7dtd simply chooses to smooth edges in such a way that they appear diamond-shaped.
I'd like to see the addition of LiF using Simul - trueSKY[simul.co]
