As of writing this, we're in 2021 allready.
And the original post is from 2014.
Meanwhile, people still like to play the game: single player - local server
Yours truly included.
Meanwhile, we have gotten an update involving 'regional resources'
Which has made life for single player worse allready.
Now forcing us to dig for jewelry first, then foot it between 3 different areas.
And in the meantime, there is still not a thing like treating yourself.
I just got a leg injury... from walking.
Just a random chance event, that says: your leg now bleeds for 1 hour.
Applying a bandage/splint to oneself's leg should be a no-brainer.
Yet this option is still not in the game, nor is there any mod for it.
Arguably, one could /healself.
Which is more like cheating.
And meanwhile, brewing is totally locked off for single players (unless, also cheating with setskill).
I don't know how the genius behind this, goes about in life.
But if I shave my knee from tripping, I wouldn't be running out on the street, yelling;
"Somebody, please apply a bandaid on my knee, I tripped!"
I'd be getting responses like: "First of all, get your mask on for goodness sake! Second of all, apply that bandaid yourself."
As if fate is begging for this to be rectified.
With a magnitude of 20 for 2 hours
At this rate, playing hardcore (perma death sandbox)...
I will die from random events within several hours, just by tripping my little toe between rocks.
