I believe you can make the wheel at the workbench, and you can make a linen rope from flax farmed with farming. You need the procuration skill for that

Linen rope is craftable from flax when you have, I think, 30 points in procuration (the one after farming and herding) the workbench is buildable with the carpentry-skill.
