Blacksmiths Hammer and skillcap

First of all - how do I forge the BS hammer? It is said on wiki that i need a branch, an ingot and use forge`n anvil with the primitive hammer. I tried whatever i could imagine, but no, there is no option to craft that hammer, Help!

Second question - I understand that this is cooperative mmo, everyone should do their jobs in the game, it`s a peasant simulator, actually, but is there a way to increase this 590+int skillcap on your private server if I just want to test the features alone? in the world creation screen changing the skillcap does nothing, or is it working only when you start a fresh world?

You need to fire up the forge and anvil, light it up with a few billets. You should then get the option to forge in the context menu.

At the moment the skillcap function for servers doesn't seem to work. I'd expect that to be fixed in the near future.

I tried to do it inside the management screen, lol, and with unlit forge.

Yeah, when you think about it it's quite logical :p To mold the ingots into a shape you'd need to have some heat too. It had me on the ropes for a while too!

Moulding ingots into a shape of anvil inside the lit forge is quite logical. But the hammer, i thought you need to soften some iron inside the forge too, before making it it into a hammer, but you dont... not so logical after all.... but, anyway...

Hmm, I am trying to make a blacksmith hammer right now in the forge. I have it lit, and heated, and have an ingot in the furnace and one in my bag... and sticks. It says I have everything the recipe needs, and allows me to press the craft button, however it then says I need a Blacksmith Hammer for that action (of creating a Blacksmith Hammer). I am confused.... lol

Solved.. a Primitive hammer apparently works.
