How to Build an Forge an Anvil?

Ive got smelting skill over 60 and could not forge anything without forge and anvil... how do I get one? ive got a kiln, a furenace and a lot of iron smelted and as ore

You need clay, then right click on it and create a mold. Then put 8 ingots into a furnace with the mold.

Once you get the Anvil built, and gather the materials for the forge, how do you make it?

You should try leveling construction, making the forge and anvil is part of the construction skill

Okay. To level it up I need to pave roads. It says I need a mallet. How do you create a mallet?

I'm also stuck at this. Can't figure out how to raise construction skill.

dont know how but i have raised this... wallet fence, kiln, bench, potters thing and so on build... then i got this later on

OK now ive got an anvil... but can only drop it and cant build anything... do i have to build something for it? SO same prob as mentioned above

I goes in the Forge and Anvil when you build it. But to get construction high enough to build it, that's what I've been trying to figure out.

what you have to do is build wattle fences, they cost 10 branches. so you level to construction 15. then you need that anvil and alot of rock to make the forge.
PS: the mallet is made further on, youll need flax to make rope and for that you need a spinning wheel/workbench if im not mistaken. hope this helps ;)

I've got a BIG problem! My friend and i want to place the Forge and Anvil but it says "All cells should be flattened to begin construction here" but when we look at the observe option it says its flat. Anyone got an solution?

-make sure all blocks have a green border... to denote that it is FLATTENED... not just white and the same elevation
-try flattening the area around it as well as too tall of a change might cause an issue

ALSO, When you go to build it BACK OFF... don't stand right ontop of the thing... your building distance has some range. Or you will get yet another error

Maybe you have changed the way the forge and anvil should be placed and you may have done this in a was, that other cells are involved in the building process... and if this cells aren't flat, you got your problem. Could this be the reason?

now, to level construction to 15 for forge and anvil, you got 2 options
hard and less hard way.

***hard way : built hundreds(depends server) of wattle fences (only constructable thing till lv15)takes ages because you need to collect 10branches for each wattle fence. i didnt do this,what i did below!

***less hard way : gather 10bones 8water 1hardwood billet 1handle , find someone who can craft boneglue, give bones and water , get boneglue, then find someone else who can craft a mallet,give all mats. get malllet , start paving roads after 20 paving which is like couple of mins, you can have lv15 construction and start building forge and anvil, though you need some other skills to craft the anvil part of construction, mining and smelting. which is another challenge.

-how to get bones : this is most tricky part. if you dont have any combat skills up, and you cant fight , then unfortunately you gotta find a corpse of moose and skin it with knife. now why moose, not wolf? because mooses can give up to 100 bones, which is enough for 10boneglues.

-how to get water : go to a water source and get water, its not heavy, for each boneglue you need 8 waters. its also quick to collect since its general action skill.

-how to get hardwood billets : you need lv30 forestry lv60 logging lv30carpentry. find a tree, chop it down, if it drops a block of wood, right click it, and you ll see option. note : you need a saw. just craft a primitive saw.

-how to craft handles : depending what you gonna build, first gather soft/hardwood billets, equip a knife, right click it, and craft. again it requires same skill set above.


im playing alone and what i wrote is what i done.and only trick i know of.

thats the thing i like this game, you cant rush nor reach to skillcaps without leveling other skills.and it requires 25x100, 2500 skillpoint cap, my server has 900 cap, we either have to play together or make different alts with different profiencies.

Thats kinda interesting... to find someone in your server while you play alone must have took you ages...
