Iron vein and mining

hey guys

So after I prospected an Iron vein down to 2 blocks I started digging a tunnel and found the iron vein, but when I try to MINE the iron vein the green progress bar pops up and my character starts mining only to receive nothing after he is done.

I can do this as many times as I want nothing happens, he mines completes the progress bar then I get nothing. what I can do however is use: dig a tunnel which gives me rock and iron.

The problem with that is my inventory is getting fuller and fuller with iron ore that I cant melt because I didnt MINE the vein.

HALP?!

Pour the rocks or whatever on the ground outside.

in the top right of your inventory there are 2 numbers FE: 89/134.

That is your weight. If you are at I believe 214 you cannot carry anymore.

but what I would be pouring on the ground is 140 iron ore, I already get rid of all the rock and slate that I get, atm my carry weight is 182/132, this means that I can dig one more time before I have to drop stuff again, but it wont even tell me Im overburdened, it just mines the vein but then nothing happens. no message nothing

What are you looking to do? increase your skill? does it say "prerequisite skill to low"?

As I found out it isn´t a big problem to get back the iron ore later on (with "terraformung ... decrease height") when you pour all iron ore on the same spot ... gives you 30 ore per shovel

Hmm, when you use the "mine iron ore" function you get nothing? Sounds like a glitch with that particular block. You can use the tunneling function (as you have) but it's less efficient. You should still be able to smelt it with the proper level?

thanks for the reply guys, The Haney was correct. I found little slabs of iron vein on the sides of this same spot and I can mine that just fine. The problem seems to be indeed with this particualr block. thanks for the help
