how to destry a structure/fence

i want to destroy a wrongly placed fence but there seems to be no way to because of it being fully built.
can someone tell me how?

Must be within your claim. The claim leader can then dismantle it under the authority menu when you right click.

you can also use a torch when in fighting modus

The normal torch no longer works. You need a seige torch which you make from the workshop for that. You can hit it with a weapon, eventually it will break as it is only a fence.

so how do i make a claim - do i have to build a monument ?

Yes, level 1 monument requires 20 hardwood billets, 100 bones, 5 shaped rock and 40 positive preparations. Need some flat dirt and a hammer.

my thanks for the help, everything seems easy to get apart from the 'posative potions' as i have'nt touched that part of the game yet just takeing it nice n slow learning the basics of the game on a closed server
