First demo update in 2025!

While the last few months were heavily focused on the game itself pass the demo, there are still some new things ready to be shared!

New Features:

Collecting items, gears, gems and runes now all use the same popup that do not pause the game.

Balance Updates:
Gears progression during the demo was adjusted.

Other Updates:
The overworld sprite has been updated.
The quest objectives found in the quest list is now easier to read.

Can't Interact with Inventory

I don't know if this is a bug or something that the game hasn't clarified, but I can't seem to interact with inventory? I grabbed the midnight tonic in the library, but I can't seem to use it anywhere nor be able to do anything with it in my inventory. Since that didn't work, I figured I'd fiddle around with the apples and mushrooms I got to see if maybe I had to press a button, hold down my mouse, double click 'em, etc. to make an item function, but that doesn't work either. I've been able to sell a mush...

End of the Year Update!

This is a small end-of-year update focused on balancing and refining content.

New Features:

Added music and volume sliders to the Settings menu.
Windowed mode is now available and can be resized, no longer forcing fullscreen play.

Balance Updates:
Adjusted drop rates for "champion" enemies.
The free gem from the gem crafter is now always "Charge."
The randomness of crafted gems is now limited to their rarity level.

Content Updates:
Gem rarity icons have been visually improved.
Tutorial information has been cleaned up for better clarity.
Numerous minor graphical updates.

Another Demo Update!

In this patch, the primary focus based on player feedback was adjusting the progression speed at the beginning of the game. But there’s also a lot of other little improvements!

Visual Changes:

Cleaned up some old assets and added new ones in the overworld.
The screen shake effect during battle will now apply on both side (player & enemy).
Critical strike damage numbers will now display differently.
Debuffs now have a more explicit visual representation.

Features Update:
The "Defend" skill is now available from the start.
Equipment without gem slots has been removed, meaning your first gem from the Gem Crafter will always be immediately usable.
The first gem craft is now free.

Content Additions:
3 new common gems to craft: 1 defense, 1 special, and 1 passive.

Other Changes:
Added and/or improved several sound effects.
Made some minor adjustments to the story.
