Also have you tried calibrating your devices?

me too, and my xbox controler to work perfectly on ALL of my games to
Now I just added a Logitech Wingman wheel and pedals, the wheel works (not the pedals), but now the joysticks don't work anymore. More specifically, I can do the key assignments without problem, all joystick axes map correctly, but when I try operating the excavator nothing happens.
Also, in the devices tab, for all my devices only the LeftStickLeft axis is being read.
For example, if I move a joystick to the left and click on the refresh icon, I will see a new value for this axis (LeftStickLeft2). Same for the other joystick (LeftStickLeft3) and for the wheel (LeftStickLeft1). But other movements (right, up, down) produce no new value, it is like they are not being read at all.
There really seems to be a problem with the Unity engine and control devices.
EDIT: Maybe the dev team should consider Rewired[guavaman.com] for a future version.
Both joysticks are working perfectly in the Windows joystick setup and calibration utility.
Should I roll back to a previous backup of my profile? Should I reinstall the game completely?
I'm willing to do any test needed, because now I can't play the game anymore.
IN regards to rewired... If the case IS that every single damn time i unplug my stick and plug it into another USB for a different game etc then it SEEMS that this IS the problem with this game NOT remembering or able to know what is what. If i had bags of money i would buy the Rewired program to elimate this BS joystick issue.. BUT these guys advertized that it was 2 joystick compatiable so I'm holding them to this. I should AS a user be able to unplug replug and mess around and STILL come back to the game without issue.
As i have stated before in other posts, i HAVE NOT had this type of controller issue in ANY other game i play. Just this one. And TBH it is starting to peeve me off to no end. So i HOPE they fix this fast or I'll just claim refund to Steam for product not working as advertised, regardless of latest patches.
This is a big problem because the game assigns axes based on this device ID (example: LeftStickLeft2) which may change any time.
The solution is to bypass those IDs completely in the game, and build a small table in a xml file for mapping the unique hardware device names (example: \?\HID#VID_FEED&PID_DEAD#6&3559c8ea&0&0000#{378de44c-56ef-11d1-bc8c-00a0c91405dd}) to a in-game device name (example: Left Joystick). Some games do this.
Of course this solution wouldn't solve my problem: I have 2 similar Logitech joysticks and they have the same device name. This can't be changed.
Following the first tip from this thread:
1- I downloaded inputDataX.xml,
2- I renamed it inputData0.xml,
3- I copied it into C:\Users\[user name]\Saved Games\ConstructionSimulator2015\Profiles\0, replacing the old file.
Then I started the game, went into the key assignments. All secondary assignements (last column) were blank.
I just did my joystick assignments again, and now my two joysticks are working perfectly, as they did before I tried to add the steering wheel.
I have taken a backup of this new inputData0.xml, in case this happens again.
Now I'll keep trying to make my steering wheel work.
