Lift vehicle with crane

I have seen excavators, halfpipe trucks and cement trucks being lifted by mobile and tower cranes in real life. Could it be modded in or properly coded by the devs to have attach-points to all vehicles?
If not all vehicles atleast the excavators, roller, wheel loader, cement truck, cement pump, the halfpipe trucks and flatbeds.
I would really like to be able to lift the big excavator by crane. I tend to drive it into the hole to finish the job at the bottom because its easier to fill the bucket.

well, you'd need to get a bigger crane first I'd say.. you might be able to lift the big excavator at a 6-meter radius with the current ltm model, but that's not leaving much maneuvre room between the 2 machines.

I don't see why not, this is a good suggestion.
@Shadow: a fun and more realistic way to get out of the hole is to make yourself a ramp. I've done that and it works very well.

It is realistic, but might diminish the challenge a bit. Part of the game if figuring out how to manuver vehicles into tight spots.

I dont think maneuvering a vehicle in narrow areas is challenging, but digging far down with a excavator is. Thats why I like to drive it into the hole and dig more or less "straight ahead" and lift it up and out of the area.

@Chacal, How do you dig a ramp? With a excavator or a wheel loader? Whenever I use the wheel loader I always end up getting stuck with the wheels spinning. I'm not very good at digging a proper slope with the excavator. I can fill the bucket but not with any precission.
I prefer to use an Xbox controller. I doubt my TM Warthog or Cougar or Logitech Momo setup will add anything here :p

I do it with the excavator. From the bottom of the hole, I slowly shave dirt from the edge and dump it on the bottom. I am using 2 full-size joysticks, and I'm moderately skilled at digging, so it is very precise.

Now that we have the huge crawler crane it would be practical to be able to lift an excavator, halfpipe truck, concrete mixer and concrete pump.
How about it, devs? :)

yeah this would be amazing because I need to dig a pretty deep hole for this job so this would be really helpful!
