Flat bed with crane trouble, need suggestions/help

I can seemingly work the crane just fine, but i'm seriously struggling to get anything on the flat bed closest the crane side as i can't get the crane inside that part close enough, i can get the yellow circle on that area but only when the crane is almost upright so i could only really drop something in that area, how are other people managing with this?

Use W or S to bring the lower half of the crane up asfar as it will go. Then arrow keys to bring the top half of the crane down towards the cab.

God no you can get items so much closer than that honest. What i do is when i bring the crane out i use LS and up to put halve the crane in an up right position then use RS and up to bring the lower halve up. Looking at the crane at this position this is how you want it when you fetch the toilet, so as you bring it to the flat bed it's as close to the cab as physically possible, will see if i can get a screenshot for you.

You see i tried bring the crane up in different angles but with the toilet the problem was that to bring the cran close to the front meant it had to be lower to the bed so the bottom was touching and ends up dragging it. but yes a screenshot would be helpful please. Thank you.

I can easily get the crane into that position but with something attached on it with the added length of chains and crate then i can't get a crate into that part of the flatbed.

With smaller crates you get them really close

This is normal, that's the way this kind of truck is built. If you need to fit more stuff on the bed, you can use the forklift to fill this space. Then for unloading at the construction site, a little bit of creative driving should get them off the truck.

this issue would be solved if they fitted a proper crane with a Jib. Since it's already a 4 axle variant, I can not see why they went with a small 25ish t/m setup.

OK, I'm not crazy then. I also cannot load cargo to the forward slots. Seems like bad engineering.
My flat bed with crane does not have a forklift.

The forklift is available at all loading locations: material dealers and nursery. You rent it for free.

In real life the crane can access the entire bed of the truck. However in game the length of the rigging (lines holding the pallets) is set far to long for the front to be used perfectly. Try loading items that are long, generators and such near the cab, as the lift point is farther away from the edge of the load.

Quickest way to get rid of that kind of problem is to go to the vehicle dealer, sell the flatbed truck, then buy it again. This will make the game reload the model and it should be OK.
