how to retract and deploy the outrigger

i press Q and E but nothing happens?
on the keeyboard layout , these are the default keys.

so what am i doing wrong

You have to press shift+q ; shift+e to make it work

Are you holding down the left shift key aswell ? As it is left shift Q or E.

Hi. Just started the game and i am supposed to attach the trailer and go. I assume i suppose to be at the trailers bar (sorry for my bad english...) to press shift+Q. It doesn't show me that option.

Pour les vérins, il faut laisser appuyer tout le temps de l'opération (environ 1s à 2s) : la touche "shift" + la touche "q" pour remonter ou la touche "shift" + la touche "e" pour mettre les vérins.

Just to make it clear:
- the keys for deploying/retracting the outriggers are "E" and "Q".
- if the outriggers are on a trailer, you also have to press the "trailer modifier" key, which is normally "LeftShift".
- so you need to attach the trailer to a truck, and then, sitting in the truck, press "LeftShift-Q" or "LeftShift-E" until you get a message like "Outriggers are fully retracted".
