Once the device is configured and calibrated in Windows, make sure any throttle is set at zero, start the game, go in the options, then key assignments. Find the function you want to customize, click the secondary assignment, then activate the desired control on your device. The new assignment should appear as the secondary assignment.
This is generic advice, as I don't own this device.

As far as I can see, there is nothing to calibrate in Windows. Only in the game.
If it still doesn't work, try with a different game.
I found the device manager and calibrated. I tried other games like Fallout New Vegas and the controler works fine. Something with the xml file witht hsi game I guesss.
i haven't tried it yet but i don't see how this wouldn't fix the problem for me at least.
Glad I found this. It was driving me crazy. This works perfectly for me!
- Connect your controller via USB
- Update your controller firmware using the Xbox App > Settings (it will install the Xbox Accessories app, and for some reason only works when opening the Xbox App first)
- Go on start menu and search for Joystick, it will show a "Setup USB game controllers - open it.
- Select your xbox one controller and click properties, then go on the calibrate option/tab and follow the steps until you finish.
You can now disconnect the USB and connect it via Bluetooth, should be ok.
