I'm sorry for the delayed response in getting back to you.
The error you receive regarding "unrecoverable error and must shut down" is related to certain files for Ubisoft Connect are either corrupted, damaged or missing. I would, therefore, advise trying the following steps:
1. Make sure that Ubisoft Connect is completely closed via the task manager. After that, please go to the installation location of the folder which in default is under the following path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\
2. Delete the following Folders: "cache" "crash" "logs" and "shareplay". Additionally, when you scroll down, there should be a txt file named "version.txt" Delete that one as well.
PLEASE NOTE: Make sure you keep note of your login details for your Ubisoft account as you get asked to log in again once deleting the cache.
3. Make sure Ubisoft Connect is still closed. Then type "Run" in the windows search bar in the bottom left corner, open it and type %programdata%. Once there, Delete the Ubisoft Folder.
4. Type %Appdata% (same way as mentioned in step 3) then > click local > and delete the Ubisoft folder there. Open the temp folder and delete everything in it (please make sure that if certain files cannot be deleted, leave them in there) and close the window
5. Type "Settings" in the search bar, then click on "System" > "Storage" and click on temporary files. And remove the files in there (if you do not wish to remove files such as download, make sure it's unticked)
6. Restart your PC and login to Steam. Launch the game and it should then open Ubisoft Connect. It will look for patches, download and recreate the folders you removed from Step 2.
Should you still encounter any of those errors, I would then advise performing a clean installation of Ubisoft Connect (after uninstalling, repeat the steps above to make sure any files are removed related to the launcher) You can download the latest version in the article here - https://ubi.li/4G1Qq
Please make sure you make a backup of your "savegame" folder in case you have any saves that are only stored locally.
(It would also be preferred to have Steam, Ubisoft Connect and the games all installed on the same drive to avoid any conflicts)
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other queries.
You're welcome. Please let us know how you get on.
