I'm pretty sure it's trying to figure out what GPU or hardware I have. I've given it enough time to figure it out but its still not loading. It never closes itself or crashes. I don't get errors. I have DirectX installed.

- Latest GPU drivers from NVIDIA (via NVIDIA app)

Hey SnabbSpelare, sorry to hear when you try to launch Assassin's Creed Unity the game hangs.

To rule out some common causes of issues I have some tips I would advise trying below:

- Ensure your PC meets all system requirements [www.ubisoft.com] for Assassin's Creed Unity.
- Ensure you have Ubisoft Connect [ubi.li] installed and updated
- Try to have both the game and Ubisoft Connect and Steam on the same drive
- Add Ubisoft Connect and the game to your anti-virus/firewall whitelist
- Complete the steps in our dedicated troubleshooting guide [ubi.li]
- Launch Steam using admin rights [ubi.li] to ensure permissions are granted.

Should you then continue to have trouble, would it be possible to share your system specs?

Many thanks
Sorry, but that doesn't explain why the game is running but stuck on the splash screen instead of loading the main menu. Since Ubisoft Connect successfully logs me in, it seems like the game is stuck on something else in the background. My hardware: AMD Ryzen 5 5600, RTX 4060 (8GB), Windows 11 Pro, latest NVIDIA drivers.

Thanks, SnabbSpelare.

Are you running any additional applications in the background apart from the Nvidia App?
MSI Afterburner or something similar? If yes, please disable them for a test.

Did you use Nvidia App optimization on this game?
If yes, reset it to default and try again.
Thanks, Vinci and WheelyDuck for responding with support!

I hadn't had MSI Afterburner installed when this issue was occurring. I have reinstalled Windows and am up to date with the latest drivers through Windows 11 and hope that the game will work without me having to install the latest GPU drivers from NVIDIA or its App.

I'll let you know the results. I am not going to install any other Ubisoft title in order to make sure there is not conflicting accounts. I've installed Windows on the C drive same as the OS/Win and same will Ubisoft Connect be.
Okay reinstalled Windows and not having any of those mentioned apps installed with the Windows updates being up to date as of March 13, the game still isn't going past the startup phase.
