Crashes PC
Is anyone else experiencing an issue where this game, particularly after assassinating a target and getting the flashback cut-scenes, locks their whole PC? Not just a game crash, but everything crashes and you have to hard reset everything?

Is there any fix for this? it's becoming near impossible to progress in the game

I'm sorry to hear that Assassin's Creed Unity is crashing.

Could you take a look at the PC troubleshooting[ubi.li]and go through any of the steps you may not have tried, then try again to see if that helps.

However, if the issue persists could you please confirm your PC specifications and which version of Windows you are using.

Yeah faced similar problem after capping the fps limit to 70 fps issue resolved

Can you tell us what steps have you tried so far?

My colleagues posted a few links with advise and troubleshooting steps. Please go through them all.

Feel free to share with us the specs of your PC:

CPU:
GPU:
RAM:
Storage type (NVME / SSD, HDD):
Windows version:
(type WinVer in the Start menu and press Enter to check your Windows version and build)

Do you have any additional USB accessories plugged in?
Do you have more than one monitor?
Is the Ubisoft Connect and the game installed on the system C drive?

For me it's the Sequence 3 Memory 2: Confession – Assassinate Sivert, but yes few seconds right after assassination cutscene 3 times in a row.
I'm trying to finish all the bonus challenges. on Windows 11 + NVidia
I didn't have this problem when I played this long time ago on Windows 10 + Radeon

Current info:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor
GPU: Nvidia Geforce 1070 Ti
RAM: 32,0 GB
Storage type (NVME / SSD, HDD): Apacer AS2280Q4U 1 TB
tested Windows versions:

Game constantly crashing
Can play for 30 minutes then crashes

Capping fps does not help
Exact same as post, seems now that modern hardware can actually run this ahead of its time buetiful game, the game can’t run itself that high hahah a shame I’m just gonna uninstall it’s not healthy for my pc

  • Ensure you have the latest version of Ubisoft Connect[ubi.li] installed
  • Ensure that Unity, Steam, and Ubisoft Connect are all installed on the same SSD (rather than a HDD)
  • Ensure you're running the game on a dedicated GPU[ubi.li] rather than an integrated GPU
  • Try any of these troubleshooting steps[ubi.li] you haven't already tried, particularly verifying your game files and running the game as an admin
  • As __Rishik__ mentioned, try capping your FPS
