What fixed my stutter/fps-drops.

NVIDIA Control Panel. Love it. Love it. GPU-saviour.

I'm running the game on highest settings but started out trying too turn off AA ingame, there I had smooth fps but it looked 2edgy4me, pixely edges ofcourse. So I started fidling around in NVIDIAs control panel, under "Manage 3D Settings".

And now I run the damn game as it's supposed too run like. Sure, the game is still pretty glitchybuginfested but it ain't irritatin' no mo and I'm so enjoying the story.

Ingame options, no vsync, 1080, 60hz, ultramegablabla textures and enviroments, AA off (you can and might want too turn on fxaa after checking the 3D settings in Nvidias..)"

So under my 3D Settings this is what I currently have changed for acu.exe
Anisoptropic filtering 4x
Antialiasing - Mode: Override any application setting
Antialiasing - Setting: 4x
Antialiasing - Transparency: Multisample/or 2x
Shader Cache: Off
Texture filtering - Anisoptropic sample options: Off
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Clamp
Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization: On
Triple buffering: On
Vertical sync: Adaptive

Yes, extremly tedious and isn't acceptable but hey, pcgamermasterraceright?

A steady 55-60fps instead off only turning the ingameoptions and be left with 5-60fps stutterjumps. Even with my rig, i7 4770k, 780ti.

Most of all, I get NO stutter in the "cutscenes" that were the absolutely WORST shait before.

I hope that AMD-users can do the same, I don't know, never used AMDs cards.

Ubisoft. Say that you're sorry. The devs feel bad for this. Patch it. Patch. it.

Can't believe I spent my first 3-5 hours with all that stutterutter...

I have played other assassin's creed games with no truble. But i play in 17fps in Unity. Please help me.

Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Clamp = set this to Allow

In fact, set everything back to defaults and in the game itself set shadows to low, and anti-aliasing either off or to FXAA.

If you haven't already, check the Geforce Experience app and see waht it suggests for your card.

(Setting Negative LOD bias to Allow and anti-aliasing to both of and FXAA)

I have allready tested the Experience app but it says that i don't have geforce gtx 680 or higher so i can't optimize the game because i only have gtx 560 ti.
I have also tried to play the game with default settings but i don't get higher than 20fps.

And i'm going to wait untill they fix this problem.... if they ever do. But i would be happy for more tips.

Yes i have below the minim specs (the graphic card) and yes i can play but only below 20fps.

I have everything on lowest exept resolution, i have also disabled V-sync and stretch.

Would you guys kindly try something out?
I know it sounds crazy but I can swear it fixed the stuttering for me.
I was changing gear and stuff and decided to try one of the outfits (those which give Arno a complete set of clothes over whatever equipment he's using). I immediately noticed a performance increase in the game's menu (which is really kind of laggy depending on which screen you're on). Well when I went back to the game it was running smooth as butter (about 35 FPS and stable), no hint of the stuttering which was driving me crazy. I have an i5 4670, 8 GB RAM and a GTX 660.

i tried these settings and they give me absolutely no difference in fps.

As FXAA only takes away 1 fps compared to no AA, this doesn't do much or anything.

"override AA Settings" doesn't work in the nvidia CP, the game still has no AA when i disable it and uses FXAA when i enable FXAA with the same picture quality and fps.

btw:
- disablepagefilecheck
on command line parameters gives me stutter, so don't use this "tweak" on this game.

i guess we can all just wait for patch 4, as i can't find any way to improve fps right now in any way with driver control panel or other tweaks.

Someone with a R9 270x and an FX 4100 AMD (or similar) managed to find some way to run the game at 30 FPS? I'm running at 15 with all the LOW and there are many falls, okay unbearable play: /

The executable needs to be updated and code patched. Anyone with a fairly decent (not old) system and reasonably high end video card should be able to run Unity on Ultra with at least 4xMSAA or TXAA. It shouldn't crash all the time.

i am running it right now with minimum 21 fps, maximum 55 fps (outside 21-45, inside 35-55) with a gtx 760M (notebook), i7 4x 2.2 (3.2) and 8gb ram on high-ultra settings, hbao+, fxaa, ultra high environment, high textures.

i get 5 fps less without oc (25-55fps), but it's quite playable for me in decent quality.

i hope patch 4 will give me 5fps more, so i don't have to OC the gpu.

I wouldn't run above FXAA for anti-aliasing fi you have anything less than a good SLi setup or a GTX 980 or AMD equivalent.

So this is what Got my ACU to 30 FPS. Which is Kind of nice


Get the latest AMD Driver( 14.12 Omega) this is just to improve the game's Stability over all.


2ndly Turn off the AntiVirus and Keep away from Afterburner Or Fraps. I know this might sound stupid but Ive tested it and it worked for me. so I hope this works for you as well.
