Draw distance fix?
Seriously, the draw distance is horrible, is there no fix at all for this issue?

Coincidentally, I'm looking into it right now. Just started playing. The cutscene where you look at the church and the church looks like a 1996 PC game backdrop.... yeesh. If you find anything, lemme know.

draw distance in this game is related to "texture" option. if you put texture to higher setting, draw distance will load further

Putting texture quality to Ultra High fixes it. If your GPU has 4GB VRAM, then it shouldn't affect your frames.

The only reasonable "solution" I found while scowering the internet, was someone said to open the ACU.ini file in your Documents/Assassins Creed Unity and find the "texturequality=" line and put it up from 2 to 3. then save and make the file read only.

I've been continuing playing since doing this and although I didn't notice much difference personally, I haven't encountered any N64 graphics-tier draw distances since. (Here's a comparison of the solution https://imgur.com/a/viU074o )

I remember reading somewhere back around the time the game released, everyone was whining about horrible performance so Ubisoft pushed a patch that forced draw distance to be horrendous to improve performance. Been having a decent time so far with the game, anyway.

Thanks, this helped quite a bit! It's a real shame that the Cheat Engine LOD mod that's out there doesn't work with the Steam version of the game.

Here's what I found:
Do the thing in the documents folder
in the folder that has the actual game, right click the application for the game, go to properties, and then under compatibility mode set it to Windows 8
Finally, go to the graphics settings in game and set them to the max resolution you can.

This worked for me, and I have 0 clue which one did it. try the last one first cause it's easier.

Its just placebo man, there is no way to fix this unless Ubisoft do something

Maybe, but I'm not gonna argue with results. Had graphic issues everywhere and doing the things I listed fixed all of it.
