The controls are blindingly terrible.
I've recently been replaying all the assassin's creed games. I have never finished this one but I have played a lot of it some years ago now, like back in 2016 I think it was. I do not remember the controls being *this* ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. Maybe because I played it in isolation without playing the previous games just beforehand, but my god I am at a loss with these free running controls. Absurdly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful. Makes stealth and sneaking an utter gamble because I simply cannot trust that Arno will do what I tell him to do. The combat on the other hand is probably the best in the series so far, that said, the combat camera sucks massive amounts of ass. Seriously how are people looking back at this game and fondly calling it "the best one". What are you guys smoking? Where can I get some? Must be good ♥♥♥♥ to dull your senses that much.

The combat was a massive downgrade IMO.

I mean, in the last couple of games, you can change weapons out of combat, and facing more than two enemies isn't suicide (or just cheesed with smoke bombs), and you could grapple enemies, and counter attack. Hell, that's actually been the case since day 1.

Yeah it was way too easy. You're playing as an *assassin* supposedly in the real world, not Dante in anime world.
Literally while typing this I am stuck on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ goat and cannot move. ♥♥♥♥ this game.

I always liked that it was a complete rather than a conquer type of series.

But in any case, they didn't really make it any harder since you can smoke bomb cheese everything. They just made it so irritating that smoke bomb cheesing is preferable, and took out the actual fun moves.

Also, from this game onward you can no longer manually eject your hidden blades (looked badass) or use them as your primary weapons in combat.

Yep, hidden blade and fists both were always fun in combat.

got not much problem with combat tbh aside from a few stuff, but my main gripe is we only got 1 hidden blade while in the Assassin hq under the Cafe Theatre, they got statues of assassins wielding two hidden blades. Would've been nice if that you reach max level for Arno, he unlocks two hidden blades (as a skill).
