Temporary Fix of Language for RU/CIS AC Unity in Steam

If you are looking for fixes, read properly and make sure you follow each steps closely. If you still don't have it working, you must have done some steps incorrectly.

For newcomers, you will need to download video and sound files of multilanguage versions. I have uploaded four times and got multiple reports causing the links to be removed by MEGA, so I am not going to upload again. Find them in torrent sites or whatever.

If you want to play only in English

1. Make a backup of localization.lang in AC Unity folder and rename the backup to eng.lang

2. Create a bat file inside AC Unity folder containing ACU.exe with following content

copy "eng.lang" localization.lang
call ACU.exe
ping 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 5000 > nul
del localization.lang

3. If it is done correctly, you should see a pop up with Unity in English instead of Russian.

If you want to play in combinations of different language

1. Download localization.lang of multilanguage version [Google it yourself]

2. Now there are two localization.lang (russian version and multilanguage version), rename each to rus.lang and multi.lang respectively. Make sure you place them into AC Unity Folder with ACU.exe.

3. Create a bat file inside AC Unity folder with following content

copy "rus.lang" localization.lang
call ACU.exe
ping 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 5000 > nul
copy "multi.lang" localization.lang

4. If you have done it correctly, you should see a pop up with Unity in English instead of Russian.

I didnt change any setting in uplay after update.

I think the updated uplay launches ac unity now in steam, hence when u call acu.exe in bat file there is no response.

so now we will need to do it manually.

Hmmm, I got them automatically, didn't need to change anything: old BAT still works for me and launches game in English including DLC.

I reckon that's because of the inability to trade games (region lock). And that is a big relief, if you ask me.

everything combination is possible. rus voice + eng sub, eng voce + rus sub etc.

bat file - change the latency to 5000 and you should do fine

For those who have problem with activation key being asked, click cancel and try it once again. This happens if uplay hasn't been launched when you do it, as without localization.lang it would mistakenly think that you are owning the ROW version of AC Unity.

So for the first time uplay launches it would ask ur activation key, you click cancel and follow the method of deleting localiation.lang after u click 'play' in uplay.

Step:

1) open first bat file.

2) click play on steam and let it load uplay.

3) Once sync window is up, click second bat file.

Hello, i hope it's not too late, when i'm launching any of batch files that include deleting localization, the game just doesn't start but it says "Unable to find Ubisoft Game Launcher, please re-install the game" If i return original CIS localization.lang it works perfectly.

I'm using Ubisoft Connect only version
