SPOILERS: Can't progress, stuck at Sequence 8's Boss fight

The battle with (Name withheld) on top of the cathedral, whenever it tells me to mash a button after getting his health low enough, no matter how fast I mash said button, it doesn't seem to register. I've tried it with both keyboard and controller and I get the same issue. Anyone else have this problem and/or a solution?

Play at the lowest settings or plug in a controller, it has to do with fps.

Having the same problem for so long. Restaring the game hoping the patch would work. NOT. Can't get past this boss. Tried everything with resolutions etc. However, I did menage to get a few steps trough the fight. But my hand is hurting bad . And can't get further now. My keyboard is screwed. Anyway. ♥♥♥♥ this ♥♥♥♥.

I'm seriously wondering...Has this game been tested AT ALL for PC? And how damn hard was it to fix this bug with the last update?! They've known about if for weeks. This stuff is just sad.
