Unity Weapons - One-handed, long or heavy?

Despite the vast arsenal of weapons available available in the game does anyone know what differentiates each of them and what makes each class of weapon unique other than their aesthetics?

I've been using the one-handed ever since the outset of the game for its speed and damage output. But is there any other reason to switch into the long/heavy style when the legendary quality (5 star gold) version of all three weapon classes has the same damage output?

I like the long weapons alot, but ended up mostly playing 1H because it felt more realistic. did not like the heavy ones much, personally

They pretty much do what they say on the tin. There's a combat trainer in the theatre where you can try them out.

Well it depends on how you play the game. If you're more straight forward in fighting you might use Heavy for it's damage output or long for it's parry range. However if you're more into the stealthy approach you might want to use swords for their speed and damage.

I choose to go with long because I feel like just based on the characters skill in a weapon is better than others, you shouldn't have to be forced to only use one kind of weapon

I just spam them using Sword and if i surrounded then i just gas them

just so you know something important

each weapon has a teir level ----- and so does your enemies

if you use a level 1 sword vs level 5 - you will die

you need to make sure your gun and weapon of choice is at least level 4 to survive this game

and get thick skin other wise bullets kill you
