Can we please have a crowd density option
In a future update can we please have a crowd density option, I get that Ubisoft think the crowds add to the gameplay but quite frankly they add nothing, if anything they reduce gameplay. These crowds are not smart, they are the same as every other crowd(s) in other games and if this game they are so dozey, they always get in your way and I guarantee they are one of the factors that causes stutter. A crowd density option would be welcome, it was in Assassin's Creed 1

...and also they spawn being stuck in scenery / slightly above the ground / standing on chairs etc, or changing LODs right in front of you, or just stay with low-poly model sometimes.
Shame that Ubi probably won't see this thread here.

Surfing three feet above the ground was a trend during the Frenh Revolution, sorry you're not educated enough to appreciate the extra mile Ubisoft walked for you :)

The crowds actually do add to the gameplay, as well as the immersion and atmosphere.

I've seen a lot of people complain that they get in the way and in Paris would there really have been that many people back then just walking around, places today aren't that crowded

It was the french revolution. I have no doubts in my mind the streets would have been packed with protesters. Places today aren't that crowded - this game doesn't take place today.

Well if you think it adds to the gameplay that is fine, but an option to lower the growd density would be most welcome.

It's not the crowd density that's causing the lag either; and if they're getting in your way...it's Assassins freaking Creed, there's a million other routes you could take.

Christ, the crowds in this game get in the way, and going on rooftops isn't always an option and besides I am not looking for a workaround. And I can guarantee you that the crowds are one of the causes for the stutter

No, the crowds aren't. The stuttering is a completely random event in this game. Happens whether there are large crowds or not, and I don't care if you're not looking for a workaround. The game is based in the french revolution, in a very realistically dense populated Paris. Next time know what you're buying.

Calm down, christ. How would adding a crowd density option effect you? If you like the crowds then fine but how would people lowering the crowd density effect you? And The crowds do cause stutter, in scenes were there are lots of crowds the frequency of the game stuttering increases, areas with less crowsd stutter less. Just look at the difference between Paris and Versailles. In versailles the game stutters way less and you get around 20fps more, what is one of the biggest differences between these places... The number of crowds.
