Does anyone know where Uplay stores your save on your PC because apparently it keeps backups?
Bernardo Nov 16, 2014 @ 7:39am
I can't find the save files. I have no idea where Uplay hides them.

4 years in development and this is what we get... I tried using my friends save game because we are same level and pretty much have the same stuff but the save games are account tied....Ubisoft make some of the dumbest game design decisions... Waste of money

C: drive > Program Files (x86) > Ubisoft > Ubisoft Game Launcher > Savegames > one folder in there with a large alphanumeric title > then there will be several folders in that one for each game you have. Each folder will have a 2 or 3 digit name. One of them will have your unity savegame in it. To figure out which one it is simply start up Unity reach a save point, exit and return to that list of folders and find the one thats most recently modified...that will be the one with you ACU savegame. I recommend backing up those four files in there often enough.

I have a file that is called "1.save" and "2.save" so these are my save files right?

Tried that, all gone. Only saves I had were on the cloud but that were all from the beginning

Yeah just copy ALL those files somewhere and keep them as a backup. Do it after each session. If you need to revert to old save just move them back in and delete the new set of four files. I highly recommend disabling Uplay's cloud savegame syncronization in the uplay options, otherwise you may encounter problems with this.

Well thanks for the help, I'm gonna try and see if I can recover the files using Recuva. I'll make sure I disable Clous Sync

Okay I removed my saved game from the savegame folder then when I relaunch UPlay it synchronizes with my online saved progress and launch the game. The saved game ON THE CLOUD IS CORRUPTED! I really wanna say F them because now i have 8 hours to redo... awesome... Did they forget their business is B2C not B2B???
