Assassin's Creed Unity

Assassin's Creed Unity

Assassin's Creed Unity is a MASTERPIECE!
This is the best Assassin's Creed game ever made. It improves on all of the gameplay mechanics of the previous titles. I read many accounts of people having difficulty with the parkour, but in fact, its a much more nuanced approach now and it truly takes effort to become an expert at the manuevering. This is the Assassin's creed that makes the player practice their moves to become better. Even the combat mechanic's are a huge step forward.

You can choose your weapon speciality, and there is no longer a God Mode counter attack button. Assassin's Creed Unity forces the player to truly observe their opponent and the environment. The battles are intense with a lot of impact and weight present in each move. You really have to practice to become good at the fights. Thats why I absolutely LOVE the new combat mechanics because it forces the player to put forth the effort within that interaction. Its extremely satisfying to be able to beat numerous foes without being hit once.

Another huge advance is the customization features present. The customization options for your character go far beyond any of the previous titles. I simply enjoy all the ways we can make Arno our own character from the color of the uniform, to the various hoods, pants, bracers, belts etc that we can combine in different ways. Also the amount of weapons available is astonishing. From polearms, to two handed greatswords, maces, and even a Katana! Theres also an extensive list of firearms as well! The only addition that I would highly recommend for the next Assassin's creed, is the ability to customize our character's face so that we can truly make the title character our own. Customization is definitely going in the right direction however, but Ubisoft, please give us the ability to customize our character's face!

The story is also very interesting right from the beginning. I like how they implemented the character's story at the start. It was very well done. The story doesn't stray far from the conventions of the previous title's, but gives enough new twists, to make it a memorable and worthy tale that stand's among the best in the Assassin's Creed universe.

The Assassin's Creed Unity companion app is also well implemented with the core game. I love being able to immerse myself within the Unity universe and creates a nice sense of satisfaction that the actions that you're doing in the companion app will directly impact Arno's environment in the core game.

Now the final topic of my review. The Graphics.

This is the type of game that makes me proud to be a member of the PC Master Race. The PC graphics of Assassin's Creed Unity are simply the best graphics ever created in a videogame. The lighting, the textures, the animations are all superb. You will need a BEAST of a gaming PC to run this with all settings maxed. I have them all maxed and I'm playing on a 4K Monitor, and I will tell you right now that Assassin's Creed Unity has the VERY BEST GRAPHICS EVER MADE IN THE HISTORY OF VIDEOGAME INTERACTIVE ENTERTAINMENT.

Assassin's Creed Unity has an amazing amount of content. I haven't even tried the Co-Op yet and I'm sure that will add another layer of substance to the experience. I would also like to say that Ubisoft is doing a great job at patching the bugs and making things more stable. I applaud them for that and I have no reservations when I tell you all that Assassin's Creed Unity is amazing and is the best game of the year for me so far.

I actually agree with most of what he said, I've been enjoying the game immensely.
I feel like the combat would be more satisfying if the game wasn't stuttering all the time - leading to delayed reactions and missed buitton prompts...

Also while the gear customization is pretty sweet I REALLY hate the fact that there is one piece of every outfit that requires the completion of a co-op mission. I'm sorry guys but I don't want to play this game with you, I want to play it SP, and I shouldn't have to do something like that in order for my character to have a complete outfit.

You know you can play the Coop missions on your own, right?
i like the game. it's need more polish and optimization but other then that it's good. what i don't like is that the game is full of to much side content and activities that is unnecessary in my opinion. i don't like that alot of content is exclusive to the app and initiates, what if someone don't have smartphone or tablet ?. the micro-transaction system is sucks also. i can't belive that the they actually added it. it's a joke.

Assassin's Creed Unity 10/10

I would absolutely agree with everything you said if my framerate were above 20 fps on 1080p.
I have not yet had a fair chance to try it out, but I highly doubt it is as bad of a game as people say, outside of its bugs and performance.
This isn't the review section.
Hey OP can you tell me a reason why i would use any other weapon than Swords? They have highest attack speed, better reach than the heavy weapons almost the same damage as heavy and long weapons and best parry, and they are 2nd in range, so basically whats the point in using heavy weapons for example when the damage is the same lol
