63C but the other day it was 58C. So to me its rising, I stopped playing it for now but hopefully it isn't making it overheated.
Your heat sensors might be faulty, but it's still under the maximum GPU temp of 98C before the driver will throttle down performance to attempt to bring temperature back underneath the maximum specification. If the GPU temperature continues to increase despite the performance throttling, the GPU will shutdown the system to prevent damage to the graphics card.
for everyone else, general rule of thumb for most air cooled GPUs is 80C is when you need to give it a break to cool off, if your GPU runs 80C+ when gaming, then maybe look into putting fresh thermal paste on the GPU, or look into watercooling, though only if you're not planning on upgrading your GPU in the short term.
The AMD Radeon cards are actually designed to run hot. Thermal throttling doesn't happen till the 85-90º+ mark.
Anywhere between 50-65 is a nice temp to stick to.
I'd go over to the TomsHardware forums. they've some great Q&A's about your card specifically.
But i wouldn't worry, they sound fine :)
Yes, the GPU sits on the PCB.

just like a CPU, it's the brains of the graphics card.
770 is supposed to throttle down at 80 and normal gameplay should be somewhere south of that. 98 degrees is the recommended max of the card so it's not frying but it can't be good for it's long term health. Your frame rates can rocket when you get into a menu so maybe that has something to do with it??? Reload your drivers and stop any overclocking.
most of the time, it's applied well enough that it will last until you upgrade your card.
my R9 280 gave me the flu during the winter.
That sucks!
Actually I have a program that let's me adjust the fan whenever I want. It came with the graphics card :D
