Lost Save?
Game crashed multiple times earlier today, around 4:45 central and then as soon as I was back in, blue screened. I come back in and go to start up again and it says in Uplay that my local and cloud saves aren't matching and to choose one. Choosing the cloud tells me it can't connect to them so I choose local. However, now all my progress is lost and on top of that, it won't save anything I do. I've attemped a few times to start over but upon relaunching the game each time, it just starts me over. I've given this almost two hours to sort itself out and I perused to see if anyone else was reporting similar issues but so far it's all mostly technical problems I'm seeing reported. Anyone got any ideas where I screwed up?

Similar issue here, not blue screen but a hard lock (I do use Asus AI Suite to overclock which might contribute to the hardlocking).

The only way I could stop the sync errors was to disable the Cloud Sync in Uplay. Click the "gear" button in Uplay and uncheck this box for Cloud Sync (there may be files you can manually delete, but I just went with disabling the cloud sync for the time being).

Even if you do this though, be aware that if the game shuts down abnormally again, you'll probably lose anything you've done in the game since starting it up. I started fresh in a new game, played for about 2-3 hours, and just as I got to Paris, the game hardlocked on me. When I came back in to the game, I had lost all my progress _again_. I am now starting over on my 3rd attempt to play, very frustrating.

I reported this to Ubisoft, I think if the game shuts down abnormally, it loses all save progress since you booted up the game, almost like it's not writing out the save file information and only hold it in memory until the game shuts down.

Very poor save file management, no other game has lost it's save files simply due to a lockup on the PC.

I swear every single Ubisoft game seems to have people complaining about this at release. You'd think they'd have figured out how to build games by now.

for me , it can't load my save file then crash "ACU.exe stop working" ... = = now i just creat a new game.

If you have to manually delete the saves from your PC, check for:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames

Should be a couple folders deeper, i.e.:

6c9c7433-fe14-4ff6-bbba-9e7dab877f62\857 (look for the most recent date modified)

Not even sure of what I should do anymore. I've changed around save files, disabled Cloud sync and saving and tried just playing without it, nothing seems to save. Reenable cloud sync and can't recover my old files that way. I have manually deleted the saves as well but it just doesn't seem to do anything. Uninstalled UPlay and reinstalled, still nothing. Just kind of at a loss for now.
uninstailing .steam uplay and the game might work but i wouldnt take the chance cus u will need to re insrail evrything
