Having trouble with "Killed by Science"? Read this: SPOILERS!
I, like it seems many, had trouble with "Killed by Science." The game told me there were six locations to visit, but only five appeared on my map; the park where the body was found, the cafe next to the park where the body was found, the clock-maker's shop next to the park where the body was found (convienant, those,) the victim's home, and the college across the city.

Also, I somehow found five clues in the victim's four-clue house, taking a statement from someone whom I had not seen.

It's bugged, some people don't always see all of the locations to visit, but the TL;DR is this: The Colonel in the College des Quatre-Nations (the only accusable person there) is your culprit. As I figured it, the dead man was quite simply a victim of being in literally exactly the wrong place at literally exactly the wrong time. Five minutes either way and he wouldn't have been standing in exactly the right place to take a shell from the cannon in the torso.

Witnesses tell you that the cannon normally points in a different direction. If you look at the direction it has been adjusted to aim at, you find... The clockmaker's shop; the same clockmaker who built the cannon; the same clockmaker who entered the ballistics competition at the college. The same competition which the colonel is also entered into.

The colonel (the guy you need to accuse,) was trying to discredit and/or kill one of his competitors in the competition. After all, if his own "toy" cannon were to fire a shell (well, a bullet, really,) into his own shop, and kill/injure him/one of his workers/smash things up good, his credibility would be in the crapper, and he'd likely be dropped from the competition. (Or, you know, buried.) Being the noted expert at ballistics which he is, he would easily have been able to determine exactly the powder load and shell required to put a shot from the cannon in the middle of the square into the clockmaker's shop.

If the college isn't showing up on your map, the guy should still be interviewable/the stuff you need show up gold in Eagle Vision. The College des Quatre-Nations is directly south from the Pont Royal bridge; going south over the bridge, turn left, and you're in the College. Or you may have already found its landmark.

one of them said some cripple loaded it in the morning, if you review the case files, one of the contestant used a cane to walk, i believe it was him. as the victim found a way to win it if you've examined is lab.

The cripple who loaded the cannon is the old, injured army man located along the perimeter of the plaza the cannon is in. He was most definitely not the killer, however.

My question was meant for the OP since he mentioned a missing location as I believe I also had the issue he was mentioned but on my second run I was able to complete that mission completely.

I don't even have Unity installed. I don't remember which location I missed, I just remember missing one, and then resorting to a guide to make sure I found all the investigation locations after this one.
