How to use Phantom Blades
Title sums it up. I accidentally skipped over the part that explains how to use them, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to equip and use the darn things.

I'm using a gamepad as well.

basically same way you use the pistol, just equip it on the selection wheel (d-pad) and then either quickfire with LB or aim with LB then shoot with RT.

Hmmm, it doesn't seem like it's letting me equip it. I keep trying to set it with the D-Pad but it just remains as a "?".

have you unlocked it yet? Im pretty sure you dont get it untill around sequence 5.

Yep sure did. It's showing the normal ones and the beserker blades, but no matter what I do they don't equip. :/

No they work, you have to leave the assassin place first. Had the same problem, went outside and they worked.

you can't shot it when you're in the hay wagon I think. one of those co-op mission, when you jump into the hay, i tried few times and it just wot' shot for me.

Already left. Was trying to use them on a mission, that's how I found out they weren't working. :o

it might be a glitch then, have you tryed closing the game and then opening it again?
