Playing co-op missions alone.

Is there something I'm missing here? Didn't the developers say you can play it completely alone? To unlock a lot of the equipment you need to play the co-op missions, but the only time I see them is when you find some guy in black. I only have the option of finding a game, and even if I wanted to play with other people the feature just doesn't work. Is there a point later in the game where you can access co-op missions more easily, and also play them alone? If not, Ubisoft told a bold-face lie.

I've seen a few streams of guys playing Co-op alone, you just host one privately, should be an option for it if you mark the mission on the map (or you may have to be at the mission npc, I don't recall which.)

That's just it, there is no option. I walk up to the guy and it gives me only one option and that is to find a game, which doesn't work. I can privately host other missions, but not the co-op missions. The label for them is "Play co-op now" and they have the name of the missions I have to do to unlock some ♥♥♥♥. Maybe I'm an idiot and it's my fault.

It might be wonky because Uplay is on and off. They might still be stabilizing their servers.

Can anyone else play these co-op missions alone? I hope it's just Uplay being Uplay.

Go to progress tracker. Click the co-op mission button, host it in private. Forewarned. The missions aren't designed to be soloed. It took me 1 hour of stealthing the second one cause of roof sniper meanies.

Thanks, I'll try that out. See, I'd find co-op partners on some forum but it feels like the game requires you to coordinate with your team mates, and I broke my headset and have to use a crappy pair of earphones with an in-line mic that I can't get to work. Times like these I wish all my friends didn't have insufficent hardware/lack of interest in Assassin's Creed.

See I came to this thread looking for a way to do them alone, not because I have to so many years later, no surprisingly there are still active players and it even tried to get me to jump in with people a few times by spawning surrogates in my world and asking me for help.

No I came to find a way to play them alone because I would rather never have that equipment than play with a bunch of randos.
