Can you still fight with your Hidden Blade?
So far I've only noticed that you're only able to use your primary weapons like your Sword, long weapons etc and not your hidden blade? Are they only restricted to assassinations now or is there a way to use it?

As far as I can tell, the hidden blade is more a tool than a weapon. For now, it seems it has been removed from the combat spectrum almost entirely, and given to only the stealth element.

I think it's a good decision to leave it out of battle. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but I don't think you'd be able to block/parry with those things.

The hidden blade seems to get used during sneaky stealth kills only. You cant equip it as a primary weapon, nor can you fight bare fisted like in black flag.

Not the end of the world, but personally i loved to fight bare handed and take the guards weapons away from them.

that really sucks, you could always fight with your hidden blade in open combat and was always one of my favorite weapons with some of the best finishers. Really disappointing to hear that.

I adored the bare-handed fighting as well. There was just something satisfying about fighting an entire battle empty-handed, disarming your opponent only to finish them with their own weapon, then dropping it again.

I liked to roleplay my character as a near-pacifist, only fighting back when openly attacked. :3

I guess fighting with the hidden blade wasn't very realistic, although it was entertaining to take out a crowd of sword-wielding enemies using such a comparatively small weapon.

I personally always loved the daggers. It's a shame they got cancelled out.
