ACU - Yet Another Unfinished Ubisoft Product
I'm not sure why I even bothered with ACU and Ubisoft this time. I have a high end gaming laptop with an 8GB video card and 32 GB of memory. ALL of these are well above the minimum and yet the game will not launch through steam because it believes that my card is not DX 11 compatible. I have contacted both Ubisoft and NVidia in regards to these issues and NVidia made it clear that it was on Ubisofts side... Again, I have no idea why I even bother with pre-purchasing. Any serious recommendations on how to resolve this issue or am I just stuck waiting for Ubisoft to get their act together?

Unfilished, huh?

Seriously though, only issue I'm having is the pop in. The peformance is fine.

Oh, and also, if you read the specs, they said laptop's may work but are not supported.

32 GB of memory? On a laptop? Nice.

Nothing new, sadly i need something to play until dragon age gets released in six days. The only issue i got is the frameskipping on all systems specially after using the map or the menus and only restart solves this.

I did read the specs regarding the laptop card issue but this is not uncommon for games to post that. I'll just request a refund and hopefully learn to never pre-order again.

With such a system you would expect that you actually had a clue with hardware.
If you take a moment and visit Nvidia they have a driver update exclusively for AC:U launch that should help with any issues, but that's too hard to do.

Carry on.

Oh and there is no video cards on a gaming laptop that are 8GB. You likely bought one of those over priced SLI 4GBx2 setups. In the computer business we like to call you the king of the dumbasses when buying computers. Guessing that took you back about 4-5k? The sad part is you could get a better system for under 1200 if it was a desktop.
Than you could spend all your savings on awesome monitors!, but no your a dumbass.

Ouch. Poor grumpy cat. I did not pay anywhere around that amount but no need to be jealous either way. My laptop was bought for traveling purposes since I apparently do not live in my parents basement as you do. This is very close to the laptop that I bought and wrote off as a business expense. http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT70-2PE-Dominator-Pro.html#hero-overview

Someday, when you grow up, you can buy one too. :)

I know right? But when the government is paying for it, I'll take whatever they want to hand me. :)
