Assassin's Creed Unity is Super Laggy! Why?

Alright,
Assassin's Creed Unity is lagging so much to the point where it it nearly unplayable! I dont know why! My system meets all the specs! Is there a fix I don't know about? I searched the web for hours! I beg for your help, I really hope I didn't just waste $60.

Set Resolution -> Windowed Borderless
Turn off PCAA
Set Anti-Aliasing to FXAA

Is it actually lagging or is your framrate just too low?
Turn down all your graphics setting to low, turn off those additional lightly features and see and turn of vsync if it's still lagging. If it helps, adjust the settings until you find a point where graphics are high enough that you can still play. Note that some people report that even the minimal specs aren't enough to run the game.

I set resolution to windowed border less and set FXAA. Can't figure out how to turn off PCAA

I have it on all the lowest settings. Still laggy as ****.

Try disabling AA and shadows altogether.

I disabled everything I could. Still laggy as ****.

like infright said, it's just poorly optimized. Dont let it stress you out, it's not your rig, it's the game. Considering EVERYONE is beyond pissed, the patch will hopefully be out tonight.
