Anyone know how to sync the companion app to assassin's creed unity?

As title says, trying to figure out how to sync the aqp to the game or my uplay account which ever is supposed to be done.

I wish I knew the guy who came up with this stupid app so I could toss him out of a window. Why would you force me to play this boring and stupid app game just so I can have access to the Altair costume. Was the $89.99 I spent for the gold edition of this game not enough for you Ubisoft, now yoiu have to torture me by forcing me to play this garbage.

Open the app and on the left, top corner of the main map screen, click the options bar.
Near the top, there should be an options to link to Ubi or something along that line.
Simply login to your Ubi account after that.

every Uplay services are down since morning. I got to sync the game and the app and after an hour, every uplay services were down. Check your uplay launcher, no save or achivement sync, no connection, and the app can't connect to my pc for the time being.

Could have to do with the fact that AC Initiates is going live again (in maintenance ATM) so they shut down everything and will restore later tomorrow ;)

Any clue how long you have to play for it to unlock altair? I've done several missions but my Altiar outfit is still locked. Is there something specific I need to be doing?
