Accept it. You only have a midrange PC.
I can't excuse them completely for bugs but as far as Optimization and performance the game runs fine. I have 2 4GB 770s and a 8350 @4.6(PrimeTested). I don't get a constant 60fps with TXAA enable. I am fine with it. Do you know why? BECAUSE I HAVE EYES! This is easily the best looking 3rd person open world game ever. I'm sitting here reading people whining wehen they don't even meet the required specs. In 2015 it's only going to get worse. Needing an actual Highend Rig to run the games at high end settings is back. Accept it or go play on a console.

I could understand the whining if the game looked like garbage. You should have listen to your gut and bought the 3/ 4GB version of whatever card you own. Like I did. It's always better to have and not need than it is to need and not have.

I think PC gamers need to get over the whole 60fps thing. How many "next-gen" games need to come out that can't hit it consistently before you realize maybe this is the best we're going to get... and enjoy the new, perfectly playable 30fps standard.

30? It runs on 60!
P.S Just saw a gameplay where a guy was messing with options and there was even an 85hz option maybe even motr once he got up to 85 he switched back to 60.

The problem is that a lot of us are not even hitting 30 frames even with a system that should handle it. The game is poorly optimized and needs improvement.

The modern PC gamer is a spoiled brat and lacks basic technical knowledge. There's packs and packs of NPCs all over the place, crazy shadow tech and TXAA and Mr. Genuis wants to know why he's not getting 60fps on a 760 @max. This engine is amazing. I'm surprised I'm not getting 10fps with all the NPCs.

The OP even said it doesn't get a consistent 60fps...

EDIT: As have the subsequent replies.

YESS! The game runs like utter ♥♥♥♥ and needs to be fixed.

Dude is probabaly PR for Ubisoft lol. Even 780's are struggling. The console version is riddled with bugs and performance issues. GTFO.

No I don't have a midrange PC. I just payed 3000 Dollars on my new system. and I will run this game on 90fps. Just like i do for Advanced Warfare.

The people who ask '' Can I run it? '' or '' Say ♥♥♥♥ about this game '' are the pc noobs that dont understand that we are living in 2014 almost 2015... and its time to get a job and to have a decent PC with high end specs if you want to enjoy next gen games.
Why is this game getting MIXED reviess on steam? Also will I get 60fps 2560x1400p on GTX 980 SLI with an overclocked i7-4790K

I am getting 40 to 60. The thing is their engine is so good I feel like I should be getting less lol. This game imo is a technological marvel. My CPU was hit 64c. The only other game that does that is Crysis 3. (Not concerned because even with the oc the average temp was only 42c according to HWmonitor)

I'm really not capable of speaking to this since I don't own the game, I just want to point out that EVERY game is supposedly riddled with performance issues, crashing and bugs... but for the games I do own... I conveniently never experience any of that. People were saying that The Evil Within was pretty much the worst launch of all time, and it worked great for me. Same with Dead Rising 3. And my PC was built on a modest budget almost two years ago.

I think gamers are getting less and less PC savvy these days, and it's having a noticeable effect with the new generation of games and how much more important it is to have a clean, stable environment to get the most out of them. Not saying that this game is perfect, I have no way of knowing that, but just something I've noticed over the last few months.

How many core cores are utilized? AC:4 was one main core and the rest 7-8-20%

Problem is ultra everything mentality. With my GTX 980 SLI I will never use ultra everything so I can hit 60fps without drops.

They absolutely are. All you have to do is look at the damn game and you will see why it takes a lot of juice to run it at Max.
