Yeah I have tried turning that on and off, but didn't make a difference.
Did you also go into your gpu panel and see if you're ticking off the overscan or underscan? I'm not sure what Nvidia calls it. Whatever you use in the Nvidia CC to control proper scanning of your resolution you're trying to use. That may or may not work. Just an idea.
overscan/underscan wouldn't affect this. All that does is scale the resolution. we would see a change in the X as well as the Y variable, but instead all we are seeing is a change in the X. If I had to guess, i would say that it is trying to render 1920x1080 in a 400x1080 box. Called ubisoft by the way. their techs have reported it to the higher-ups, but up till then he hadn't heard of anything like that
Borderless window mode has actually solved my crashing/freezing problem thus far. I wasn't able to play more than a few minutes without it freezing my whole system - forcing me to shut down and restart. Even on low low settings though I still can't get more than 40fps and its very laggy when running or during combat. Guess ill just sit tight and wait for a patch. Not sure what else to do.
