for me its not since patch 4 actually, and the recent patch 5 made it better for me. Its smooth, but stuttering still occurs so im looking forward to patch 6 with stuttering fixes if ubisoft dont mess it up..

I've played on PC and PS4. If you have the hardware it's better on PC. That being said the recomended hardware should actually be the minimum requirements. The framrate on PS4 is still pretty low, and the texture pop in problem is a lot worse. Both platforms still have issues.

For me no. Played v1.4.

But it depends on personal preferences. For someone "garbage" could mean anything under 1080p at 60fps. Yes, there are still glitching crowd NPCs, you can see pop-in NPCs and switching their LODs and geometry LODs, but virtual Paris and Versailles of end of 18th century are still BEAUTIFUL.

And during my over 90hrs gameplay of Unity i had to restart game because of some bug (Arno got stucked on some place and there was no way how to get out) only once.

Unity is not perfect, but still nice game.

Implying all versions aren't garbage.

Doesn't matter what platform you play on. This is just a bad game, IMO.

Just got it, running it without Vsync and AA makes it pretty damn smooth and I run it on high with my medium ranged rig.

Ignore the naysayers to the game, most are kids who get their opinions from what they here on major gaming sites and Reddit, if this game had come out in its current state, opinions would be much higher.

Story 7/10 (It's not that interesting, but I'm only on the first act.)
Landscape 9/10 (Paris is lovely and alive from the places I've been, nothing like climbing the Notre Dame on a sunny day and staring out to the city, which is utterly massive, and a pretty accurate size.)
Gameplay 8/10 (Swordfighting feels realistic and means you can't just run in, stealth is way more needed and you need to make a plan, there are issues like being unable to block gunshots and just having to take the huge amount of damage they do, I dislike the new health system, but other than that it feels really slick.)
Visuals 10/10 (Graphics are utterly beautiful but the game shines brightest with its lighting and shadows, you can mistake screenshots for real life from the perfect lighting.)

Final Verdict: 8.5/10
It's definitely worth getting, buy the digital download from amazon for 50% off too! You'll still play with steam users! Have patience as combat is tough starting out!

Since you're asking about the PC version I'm assuming you're talking about stability, graphics, etc. I don't think it's bad at all. I'm getting consistent 60+ FPS with all settings maxed, but your mileage may vary based on your particular system.

My specs:

i5 4690k @4.3ghz
16 gb DDR3 1600
2 x GTX 970s
Tigershark1968 Feb 22, 2015 @ 12:43am
Never had a single issue with my GTX 780 based rig.

Post your specs OP, and then we can make a judgement.

Utter BS, my system uses an 860m, a substantially weaker card and ets stable 45 fps on medium-high. Just turn off AA.

You'll have no trouble playing on high at 45 fps.
