Starting new achievement unlocks
It's nice to see achievements added, but with the uplay required connection i have 90% achievements already unlocked and i want to replay the game earning them from steam. Any way to do that ?

In my case i have buyed again black flag here on steam and linked it to a new ubi account. For games already in our steam library i think we are simple f....d, or play the game without the little satisfaction to earn achievements from scratch.

And how did you delete your previous Steam game from your Steam account?

i didn't have it on steam previously.
In my case for unity, i have buyed it on steam, linked it to my old ubi account so now it's linked to it and i can't use it with my new fresh ubi account created to black flag. The forced achievement sync is a nonsense, so for unity i'm in the same boat as you, the only thing i can think is, like i have say, trying to delete the game from your steam library and rebuying it to link it to a new ubi account. Never tried something like that, so, i don't know.

I misunderstood you, I thought you had managed to solve the problem, my apologies. And yes, I think we're in a similar situation.

But I believe Santoryu has actually managed to fix it. From what I see, he has an achievement in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, so he must have been able to connect to a new Ubisoft account from his Steam account. The question is: how did he manage to do it?

I tried contacting Ubisoft support, and after waiting more than two weeks for a response, I started a process to change my account. When we were nearing the end of the process (I had already confirmed that the new account was mine), they just dropped me. Suddenly, they told me that my account was not eligible for the license transfer, and when I asked why, they said they couldn't tell me… It's crazy.

I’m hoping Santoryu can get back to us. I sent him a friend request a couple of weeks ago, but he hasn’t responded yet. Let’s see if we get lucky and he can help us because I think he might have the solution.

Don't expect any help from ubisoft, they NEVER help anyone, just generic responses.
So the only thing to try is to erase unity from your steam library and rebuying it but yes, there is huge chance it don't work. And Unity is still pretty expensive and i don't want to give anymore money to this pathetic company, so i give up for Unity, too bad because it's a pretty good game despite having a ubersheety support .

But I think he already had the game on Steam linked to a previous Ubisoft account and he earned at least some achievements there (because he has 50 hours on the record), so somehow he must have unlinked the game from that previous Ubisoft account and he re-linked it to another Ubisoft account.

The only thing that I know and that might work is the option offered by the Steam support to permanently remove the game from your account, but of course, I can't guarantee that when you buy it again, you'll get another different Ubisoft license. And... you won’t believe this, but Ubisoft support doesn't know either, they can't guarantee it, they have no clue...

So, let's hope someone can give us some hints on how to do it. Too bad there is no tool like steam achievement manager for uplay. And too bad they force us to link our accounts to play.
Maybe you can ask ubi support to reset your achievements on Uplay if you have the patience to talk to them. If a simple task like that is not too complicated for these monkey brains of course.

The problem is that I think Santoryu isn't reading our messages and doesn’t seem likely to accept my friend request. I haven't seen a case like his in all the profiles I’ve checked, and I’ve looked at quite a few. Maybe you could try adding him in case you have better luck, maybe he remembers you from when he posted here.

Regarding the Ubisoft account achievement reset, I already contacted them and brought it up, but they don’t do that either. Though honestly, that seems more understandable to me than not allowing you to change your linked account.

Could you tell me if you managed to solve it and how? I see that you mentioned that in the case of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, simply requesting a refund was enough to change the linked Ubisoft account (Ubisoft support confirmed that to me, it was one of the few clear answers I got). I also saw that you were unsure how to proceed with the rest of the Assassin’s Creed games you had started on your linked account.

Looking at your games, it seems like you managed to solve it with Black Flag, right? I really hope so, and if you could share how the process went, that would be great because I’m getting a bit desperate.

Don't know if you talk to me about Black Flag, but if so, the fact is i have buyed Black Flag on Steam after they implemented achievements and linked it to an empty Ubi account, no need to ask a refund or erasing it from my steam library but for unity i'm screwed like you about achievements because i have played it a lot on steam and can't ask a refund.
There is no solution at all to resolve this idiotic situation.
Oh yes, there's one, create a new steam account only for unity (and spend 40 bucks in the game because it's still overpriced). An idiotic solution for an idiotic situation.
My advice is, forget Unity achievements sadly.

Hi, i dealed with it on the end, by asking ubisoft support to move all my AC games to new account which i made ( which result into losing all game progress including saves, achievments or game currencies.
But it created another problem for me, one of Black Flags DLC didnt properly transfer ( Blackbeards Wrath DLC ) so it isnt installed and when i try to install it with that DLC activation key which show as owned on my account, it says it was already activated, so i will have to deal with ubisoft support about this again otherwise i couldnt do 3 multiplayer achivements from this DLC, so couldnt have 100 % achievments

And another question: did you create another Ubisoft account, or did you already have one?

I submitted a ticket to Ubisoft support, and it took them more than two weeks to reply.

When they did and I verified that the new account was mine, they told me that my account was not eligible (they didn't clarify which one or why) and they closed the ticket.
