When uplay launched it synced with steam I think and i got all the achievements instanly on steam also
Why the complaint? The addition of achievements will be useful for those who haven't played the game yet. Those who have already played it will find all the achievements unlocked on the next launch.
A lot of companies do this, even Rockstar Games and EA, when you buy a game on Steam that you've already played on their launcher.
I don’t think this criticism is very ‘useful’ towards the company.
If you care so much about the trophy popup, just buy the game again on a new Steam account (also a new Ubisoft account). They’re usually pretty cheap on sale.
I’d also like to add that I too wish all games on Steam had achievements from the start. It adds to the overall completeness of the game experience.
with Mirage i dealt with it by using steam console to delete poped achievments, than refunding the game ( cause i just bought it, i met refund requirements ), than relink my steam to new ubi account and than rebuyed the game
but with other AC games, where i dont meet refund requirements ( have more than 2h played and 2 weeks owned ), i dont know how to do it
could perma deleting and then rebuying game do the same thing as refund did ? or should i ask Steam support ?
do anybody has experience with that ?
i had that exact same issue with valhalla and had to make a new account(+ steam console to reset achievements) to start from 0 on steam & avoid that stupid forced sync.
Hey!
Sorry to bother you, but could you explain how you created a new Ubisoft account and linked the game to it?
I thought that once you started the game and logged into your Ubisoft account, it would be permanently linked and couldn’t be undone.
Thanks a lot in advance!
How can you do that?
In my case, I can't request a refund since I've played the game for more than two hours, and I also bought it a long time ago.
I think that even if you do that (permanently remove the product from your account), when you buy it again, it will still be linked to the same Ubisoft Connect account you had before. At least from what I’ve read.
That's why I was interested in Santoryu clarifying this for us.
