This should help you reinstall the relevant software for the game itself

My TV (where I was connecting my PC to, to play from the couch) reports a native resolution of 4096x2160, which is not supported by the game. Changing the desktop resolution to 3840x2160 before launching the game fixed the problem for me.
Thank you for taking the time to post what fixed this crash on launch issue for you. It's much appreciated.
Hopefully other players will be able to follow these steps to change their resolution if they're encountering a similar problem.
