Require password every time launching AC Unity from Steam
Does anyone knows how to get rid of Ubisoft Connect asking for password every time AC Unity launched from Steam?

I remember purchasing dlc after playing the base game a bit, from there (after buying dlc), I have to re-enter password on every launch. Other games works fine like AC Syndicate and GR Wildlands even though purchased via Steam.

Huh, this was my first UC game, so I didn't realize this wasn't normal.

I think it's the case on all older Ubisoft games that released before 2015, if dlc bought separately. I still can play the game because I know the password but still, it's annoying having to enter password on every launch.

Is your steam link set up correctly via ubisoft connect? I had even forgotten about ubisoft connect as steam did a seamless integration without asking for any credentials.

If you go to your Ubuntu connect profile you should be able to check the link there.

Can start the game from ubisoft connect as well and this wants password for connect always to start game and when start game from steam where buy from then wants e-mail and password then ubisoft connect opens then wants confirm password so need to type in again then game will start up.I did check this to remember this for this PC but that not working as when want to start game again need to do all over again.

Yes I have linked Steam with Ubi, all Ubi games works fine and does not require password like GR Wildlands & AC Syndicate even though purchased from Steam. Only AC Unity require password.

That's really strange. How is it if you start ubisoft connect, store your password there and start it from there? It should connect with steam and should work the other way around also.

This is happening to everybody. The login for Ubisoft Connect pertaining to Unity is corrupted. It was done during a update and they have yet to fix it and this is going on months now. They are %100 aware of it, but are not going to fix it because this is Ubisoft we are talking about. They earned their horrible reputation as of late. It cannot be fixed, re-installing the Ubisoft Connect software does nothing. It is only THIS GAME this is happening to and you can't even see the Ubisoft Connect Login fields properly, as text/fonts are overlayed and bunched up near the top. Even if you enter your correct info, it will look like it is starting up, then immediately open Ubisoft Connect again when it really doesn;t need to compared to how you see all other AC games launch, then it immediately closes and the "Play" button returns.

Until Ubisoft fixes this, the only way any of u scan play is by pirating the game or getting a crack for it.

UBISOFT COULD CARE LESS and it is why this issue is still occurring.

STOP BUYING UBISOFT GAMES, trust me, they will notice and they will try to reconcile, but only for a few more sales...so ignore them and let them burn. I've asked them many times, got a ticket, and was %100 ignored afterwards.

Ubisoft is ripping people off, selling their games as deals, then to cut servers, and let glitches and bugs occur left and righ tin hopes, you, the dumb consumer they think you are, will just buy other Ubi games, and just deal with it as those games too, are sabotaged to pushed sales for other games not doing so well.

whatever the reasoning, Ubisoft is legit ignoring this issue.

I stopped buying them because they do this kind of crap and also go out of their way to make sure you can't play their old stuff at all. Like flipping the switch on SC Conviction to make the (single player-only!) DLC just no longer work, or the "no more fullscreen" patch for Ass Creed 4.

But I have no delusion that enough gamers have that kind of self-respect for Ubisoft to even notice.

I can't test more Ubisoft games on Steam, but I have a number of older titles on Connect and I've tried AC4 or FC3 for example and they now ask for a password every time I start them.
New titles don't have this problem and it doesn't seem like a bug, but a "feature" of the entire library of older games. Ubisoft probably wants to discourage people from playing them.

I can confirm it happens with at least the first Trials game too. One google result makes it seem like a feature but it's stupid as ♥♥♥♥ because it only applies to the older games, as if it'd be impossible to crack because of it. It's more of a hassle for people like me who use password managers because I have to open it every time, search for my ubisoft password, copy and paste it just to play a game I could probably find a 360 rip of and play easier

Hey! I think i have a solution. Don't install ubisoft connect on your own. Let steam install it for you. When you click play when the game is fully downloaded, just wait for the ubisoft connect app to be installed and when it asks for password, just enter it. When you launch the game next time it won't ask for it again! This worked for me and i hope it works for you too!

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
