Build for Arno?

Good folks, how many points does Arno get during the SP campaign, and what’s better to invest in if you just want to get through with minimum side missions (maybe some Paris stories & Rifts, all SP)?

I was going to just split between health, pistol and OH sword, but I see a lot of recommendations for lockpicking. But it asks for a lot of skill points, and with the level 1 skill, well, I have not much luck pressing the button on time, so I spend more on lockpicks than get out of the chests.

So, will I get stuck in the storyline if I cannot pick locks & just build melee tank?

There are enough points available to unlock every skill in the game, so you're really only choosing early vs late game build. But yeah lockpicks are handy and getting the max skill and a cheap belt that carries a bunch of them more than pays for itself when you start unlocking $5K+ chests.

Thank you, much appreciated. So far skillpoints are very scarce. I will save them up then to max out the lockpicks.

Make sure you look for "free" ones when you are doing coop maps, there are a whole bunch that you can just pick up but only in those maps.

Am not doing coop stuff, just the SP story/sidequests.

Up to you of course, but they are some of the better more involved missions, and all of them can be played solo.

You can do coop missions as solo so you can think of them as sidequests :D
