Stuck in Saint-Denis, can't move

Game ran fine so far. Then i went to Saint-Denis via fast travel, the intro "movie" shows (Ubisoft Montpellier presents) and then i see Arno in a tavern, clipping through a table. I can move the camera but i can't move Arno. The NPC clip through the floor as well. As the game made an autosave at that point, that is where i am starting every time. There is no map and no menu. If i press Esc the game only says "paused".

I read many players had similar problems and "fixed" them by fast travelling. But i have no map. I also tried checking files and that did not help either. Any way to get out of this or do i have to start over?
