Ultra High Settings?
so when i set the graphical settings to Ultra High, i get about 25 - 30 FPS, on Very High 45 - 50 and on high i get a constant 60 FPS, any reason why? i would think my computer would be strong enough to run this game on Ultra

current specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X
GPU: Radeon rx480
RAM: 16GB DDR5

The ultra high preset turns on the Nvidia gameworks features like HBAO+ (ambient occlusion) and Soft shadows (shadows). These features are especially designed for the Nvidia GPUs not to mention they're very taxing on most Nvidia GPUs well. Tweak them to SSAO (ambient occlusion) and High (shadows). The fps will shoot back up to the 50-60 range.

you should be getting around 60 or so from the videos i have watched. i even went and played the game and tested it. at least for me everything on the highest it can go i get on avg i get 69 fps. in some places it has gone to 135 so far but just running through the people and killing a few npc it stays around the 70s.

with that cpu and that gpu you should be getting around avg 45 to 60 fps.

thank you! i did what you said and on Ultra High it jumped to about 45 - 50 FPS so i turned down Anti-Aliasing to FXAA and now i'm getting a constant 60, i didn't know those were Nvidia card exclusives, though i realized it had to be something with my GPU cause while having Task Manager open, i noticed on high the game would take my GPU to about 60-65% but on Ultra High, it would jump to 100%, again, thank you for the advice!

You should turn off the Nvidia gameworks features, It seems that the game is not friendly to AMD's GPU. RX480 is a nice video card.

apparently a lot of visual effects are no AMD friendly, i do truely enjoy the RX480, expecially for a 3 year old card it still runs anything i can throw at it, excluding present exceptions of course, lol, i mean for a card that is 4K ready, and i never play more then 1080p (don't feel the need to spend the extra money on 4K) i don't see myself upgrading my GPU anywhere in the near future

Glad to help. Yeah I forgot about the Anti-Aliasing. Should've have mentioned it as well. Nvm you figured it out on your own. Enjoy, happy gaming! :steamhappy:
