Cut out your arrogance, and stop commenting on things you dont know.
Besides its just a game and Chinese is used by a billion people in the world, I dont see any problem they add it to the game.
"the universe is not only queerer than we suppose, but queerer than we can suppose" - j.b.s. haldane.
and no, word "queer" isn't being used in some stigmatised way here. it's more about how real aliens supposed to be much harder to recognize than to discover.
Why did the sale end this morning, November 12?
I doubt they'll read this, but just in case: Amplitude, don't make us hate you. If there is a Blitzchung-like incident, there WILL be trouble. Do not forsake your fans or their freedom of speech and expression for Chinese money. Make sure your company policies regarding China stay only at translations.

If it were a situation where it'd cost them their western market as a consequence they wouldn't do it, but that won't happen. Sure, the market will kick and scream about it for a while and swear to God they're never going to buy another Sega game again but all it'll take is one shiny cinematic trailer to whip them back into line.
And, you know, this isn't entirely about greed or not caring about your customer base. You can refuse a foreign investment or to kowtow to the demands of an oppressive regime if you want to but at the end of the day it doesn't matter. Refuse the investor and he can simply buy up enough of your stock to gain a controlling interest in the affairs of your entire corporation, never mind the one game he initially wanted to invest in. Refuse to create your game in a certain way to satisfy some country's sociopolitical bent, say goodbye to your share of that market to someone else who won't refuse.
Even if you have the best of intentions, it's a damned if you do/damned if you don't situation and the Chinese market is nothing to sneeze at anymore. The best we can hope for is that when the time comes China will be a different China. But I don't really care because it's not our place to decide how China ought to manage it's own affairs. I just try to not buy products from there if I don't have to... except for knives. I buy a lot of Chinese knives. Their manufacturing is getting scary good.
I'm not sure what "Amplitude is weaker than Sega" is all about. Amplitude is owned by Sega so it would be.
