Avast Ransomware Shield was the issue for me as well. Adding it to the Allowed Apps fixed the problem.

This need to be marked as soution ... Avast to get turned off.

Do you make use of any additional antivirus software (like Avast, Avira, BitDefender...)? This case you should white list Endless Legend folder.

Okay just solved it, I've deleted my antivirus and installed new one
I've had avast and changed it to 360 security

I have same issues.

Pretty sure your antivirus (Avira, Bitdefender, Avast, whatever) prevents game from execution. Whitelist Endless Legend folder(s) in your antivirus should fix the issue.
