Weird multiplayer bug?
I'm not sure how it happened, maybe failure to ready up, so some more testing would be needed. But while my friends and I were starting a multiplayer game, when we entered, I was considered an "AI" with a name different from mine. Everytime I tried to type in chat or someone else typed in chat, I received an exception. My friends could all receive my chat messages, but I couldn't receive any of theirs.

Otherwise it didn't cause an issue with playing, until I entered into battle with someone. Then, since I was considered an AI, I couldn't actually enter the battle. No AI would do it either, since I was in the game. When I left, the AI never took over my place and my friends were stuck waiting for the battle to resolve. We had to all leave and load up a previous save.

So TL;DR there's a bug that is causing a player that is in the lobby to be read as an AI. He/she will have control over everything up until a battle begins, then the game will be stuck in an infinite loop of sorts. I believe it has to do with a player being in a lobby, but not ready-ing up when the game starts.

Hey, I actually had the same issue as yourself with a bunch of my friends. What we did to fix it, was restart the game, as previously only me (the host) had clicked the ready button (the little icon in the top right corner of each persons faction setup box). Make sure everyone has clicked ready, and instead of a 30 second countdown, there should only be a 10 second countdown, counting each second until the game starts. If this happens, the game should be good.

If possible for the devs, might want to make it a requirement to have all players click ready before launching.

Yea thats what I was thinking. I don't know why a game can start with players when they aren't ready. Either they should get kicked if not ready, or not let the game start until all are ready are much better than just letting the game bug out like that imo.
